Enjoy the beauty of the Wine Country. I do much more then drive you to your destination, in addition to this, I can organize your tastings, picnic lunches and tasting reservations. I love for clients to get involved in the research, having a mutual dialogue, and would be more than happy to help in any possible way. I am very familiar with Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino Counties, and can suggest restaurants, wineries, hotels, and house rentals. I can pick up your lunch and have a picnic ready for the next winery.
Let's plan for a beautiful day in the Wine Country..!
I would love to drive you to places with which most people are not familiar. I know the "gems" to visit, and will ensure that we find what wines suit your palette.
We have three wine appellations converging in the town of Healdsburg: Alexander Valley, known for their Cabernet Sauvignons, Dry Creek Valley for Zinfandels and the Russian RiverValley for Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.
While tasting in the Dry Creek Valley, clients can have a delicious picnic lunch from the Dry Creek General Store sitting outside facing the West with its' sweeping views. Another alternative for delis is our local Healdsburg favorite, "Big John's Market."
The fall is an incredible time to visit wine country; all of the vineyards' leaves change their colors. The winter vineyards can be equally beautiful with their whispering, stark vines.
In Napa County, Oakville Market, founded in 1881, and Dean & Delucca also feature wonderful options for picnic lunches. Both gourmet delis offer a fabulous array of specialties which could full fill your hearts' desires.
Mary Edwards, in the Green Valley of West County, was the first female frontier winemaker. Not far from Mary Edwards, Iron Horse Vineyards offers delicious, world class sparkling wines, which have been served at the White House many times. The outdoor tasting venue has amazing sweeping views of the GreenValley. Iron Horse also serves beautiful Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. These are just a few examples of wine country's pleasures.
Anderson Valley in Mendocino County, is also an amazing place for Pinots and Gewurztraminers. One of my personal favorites, Goldeneye Vineyards, offers an array of many varietals, along with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lula Wines are served in their tasting room, which is just down the road from Goldeneye. It's a tiny, unassuming local tasting room with an endearing personality and lots of heart!
